A BRIEF HISTORY OF LANGTOFT VILLAGE HALL

Langtoft Village Hall - A Brief History!

Langtoft Village Hall was built in 1910 as a meeting place for 'Langtoft Conservative Working Mens Club' who would have been affiliated to the Association of Conservative Clubs (ACC).

In 1972 the Village Hall was legally bequeathed by the "Working Mens Club" to the Langtoft Parish Council who in turn subject to the terms of this arrangement, immediately handed over the day to day management of the Hall to the LVHMC, the Langtoft Village Hall Management Committee.

The Village Hall was immediately registered as a Charity and the LVHMC became Trustees of the Village Hall and the Charity.  The Trustees primary role is to ensure that the Hall is well maintained and fit for purpose for future generations within the community.  The Trustees are all volunteers from within the community and they hold various events throughout the year to raise funds to fulfill this obligation.

Over the years, the Village Hall has had many supporters who have attended events and various people who have helped maintain the hall for which we are immensely grateful.

Thank you!
